Orientation Program

All new students must attend the Orientation Program before they commence their course at CIC.

Orientation day is an important part of your introduction to CIC. It is where you will learn how to get the most out of your time with us and receive important information about your course and our facilities.

This is an opportunity for you to meet the administrative staff, to be introduced to the College, and also to meet new students.

At orientation you will receive:

  • an individual comprehensive orientation pack,
  • class timetable,
  • student ID card,
  • a transport concession card (Smart Rider) form that gives you a discount on all train, bus and ferry fares.

You will also be provided with information on attendance and course progress policies, student support services to assist you in the transition to life and study in your new environment in Australia. You will also be provided with information on legal services, emergency and health services, facilities and resources, and complaints and appeals processes.

If you ever have any questions or problems, CIC staff are available to talk to you.
