At CIC, we offer a range of vocational education and training (VET) programs, designed in consultation with industry, to ensure the program’s relevance to your future career. VET programs operate on a competency-based system of learning and assessment, a process of collecting evidence and making judgements on whether the required level of knowledge and performance has been achieved. This system of learning provides students with multiple opportunities to show competence and meet the requirement for successful completion. Students are assessed as either being Competent [CO] or Not Competent [NC] for a particular unit.
Our classes are guided by experienced and qualified trainers, in a supportive learning environment where a variety of approaches are used to assist your learning and assess your knowledge and skills. You will graduate from CIC with the qualification you need to take you where you want to go in your career.
As well as providing you with targeted learning opportunities, encouragement and quality teaching, CIC’s vocational programs are supported by a range of academic and personal support services. You can expect:
trainers who are experienced and professional and care about your future,
additional academic, career and welfare support,
preparation for employment with current industry knowledge and skills,
engagement with a diverse student cohort on campus,
